4th Grade Sacramento State Capitol Field Trip

Suggested Donation: $125 - the group is taking a Black Tie chartered bus. While we realize this is a donation if we do not receive enough donations we will need to cancel.
Our class will be visiting our State Capitol in Sacramento on Thursday January 23, 2025! This field trip supports our social studies curriculum. We will depart school at 8:00 a.m. to arrive in time for our first tours of the morning. We will return to Pleasanton by 5pm - please note the early arrival to school (7:30am) and the late return (5:00pm).
During our program a docent will lead an educational tour of the State Capitol and the Capitol Museum. After the tour or before the tour, depending on when your class has their Capitol tour, each class will also visit Sutter's Fort, the Railroad Museum, and try our hand at Gold Panning. We are being led on this tour by the Bear Flag Tour company.
Lunch will be a brown bag from home in Old Town Sacramento. Students can bring a small amount of cash, no more than $20, to purchase a snack or memento from the shops in Old Town.

- Dress in layers and wear comfortable shoes. Please pay attention to the current weather.
- Bring lunch in containers that can all be thrown away (paper bag).
- A small backpack to carry a reusable water bottle, lunch, sweater or small jacket.
