Book Club
Alisal Book Club is a fun and engaging way for students in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade to connect over great stories. Book Club meets one day per month Oct - May (please view the PTA Calendar for dates) to talk about a book with other students in your child's grade, and participate in a fun book related activity.
Students receive a new book each month. Each year, we choose a variety of book genres and topics, including a graphic novel, science fiction or fantasy, realistic non-fiction, and more. Each grade level gets its own set of age-appropriate books.

Parent Volunteers are needed to provide book club. Each year, we need 2–3 parent volunteers per grade to lead small group discussions and bring an activity, plus a few extra hands to help with the bagel breakfast we provide. It's a wonderful way to be involved and make reading even more fun!
